November 1998 Total Web Elements Icon Collection Introduction: Without question, one of our most popular icon collections since the Iconfactory opened, has become the original Web Elements collection. The first set of 150 icons optimized for use on the World Wide Web have shown up everywhere across the net and we continue to get email every week from webmasters thanking us for producing this useful, freeware icon collection. It was only a matter of time before an addendum to the collection came along to expand the set, and now it is here. The "Total" Web Elements collection contains 195 all new icons added to the original set bringing the total icons in the collection to over 300. Every icon in the set was created using the 216 color Web Palette to be optimized for use on the web. In this way any Web Element icon can be copied directly from the Macintosh desktop and pasted into a standard graphics editor (like Photoshop) and saved directly as GIF files for either the Mac or PC without loss of quality or annoying dithering. The set is divided into a number of categories including: arrows & pointers, email, web site organization, file types, users, Copland Elements and many more. We hope you find this expanded Web Elements set useful. Enjoy! Legality: The enclosed icons are ©1998 The Iconfactory. The icons are original artwork from the authors and can be used free of charge by any person or company public or private without a licensing fee. These icons can only be distributed as freeware. If you choose to redistribute Web Elements, you may not charge fees or request compensation OF ANY KIND and the read-me file must accompany the set at all times. By downloading this file you are agreeing to be bound by the terms of this agreement. Although a shareware fee is not required to make use of these files, contributions are encouraged and can be sent to: The Iconfactory Box 7504 Greensboro, NC 27407 How To make Use of Web Elements as Mac Icons: 1.
